This work is the image of a photograph of the Russell Maliphant Company performing Broken Fall. The image was published in huit between 2003 and 2006....the exact date is unknown to me. As I found the image and discovered the movement of the Company for my own, I felt moved, myself, to use my own talents to expand it. The impact of this drawing on viewers has been larger than any of my other works--it seems to move them the way the still dance shot moved me. It was suggested to me once by a close friend that I create a series of large scale drawings as such, and this idea I intend to fulfill once I get a hold on some loose canvas.
